Die Entstehung und Entwicklung mundartlicher Unterschiede im Rahmen einer Sprache wird durch verschiedene Erscheinungen sprachlicher sowie nichtsprachlicher Natur beeinflusst. Eine besondere Situation liegt dann vor, wenn zwei verschiedene Sprachen aufeinander treffen bzw. eine Sprache eine andere in einem bestimmten geografischen Raum ablöst, wobei die Sprache der neu siedelnden ethnischen Gemeinschaft Spuren (Elemente) der Sprache der vormaligen Ethnie oft weiter bewahrt. Auf Grund komplexer Dialektuntersuchungen wird versucht, der weitgreifenden kulturhistorischen Zusammenarbeit und Verständigung zwischen Deutschen und Tschechen nachzugehen.

The emergence and development of oral differences in a language is influenced by various phenomena, both linguistic and non-linguistic. A particular situation occurs when two different languages meet, or one language replaces another in a particular geographic area, with the language of the resettling ethnic community often retaining traces (elements) of the language of the former ethnicity. On the basis of complex dialect investigations an attempt is made to pursue the far-reaching cultural-historical cooperation and understanding between Germans and Czechs.
