A la fin du 19e siecle, un nombre étonnant de traductions prouve un grand intéret du public tcheque de l époque pour la littérature populaire francaise. L étude faite sur la recherche dans les fonds de la Bibliotheque nationale tcheque voudrait présenter les auteurs francais et les oeuvres les plus souvent traduites et lues dans les dernieres décennies du 19e et premieres décennies du 20e siecles dans les Pays tcheques.

The vast number of Czech translations of French popular novels written in the late 19th century confirms its popularity with Czech readers. This paper, which is based on a research of founds owned by the National Library of the Czech republic in Prague, presents the most popular authors and titles which were translated at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century.
