Der Beitrag will ein Zeichen dafür sein, dass das Thema auch weiterhin aktuell bleibt. Es soll seinen Platz in der künftigen deutschen Literatur finden, die von tschechischen Autorinnen und Autoren geschrieben wird. Einleitende Bemerkungen beziehen sichauf die Aktualität des Motivs vom Meer im Zusammenhang mit Böhmen. Gleichzeitig rückt die Figur des Autors in den Vordergrund: jener Autor, der in ein anderes Land zieht und dort beginnt, literarisch tätig zu werden.

The contribution offers the access to the sea, where, reputedly, Bohemia should be situated. The information that the Czech Republic keeps its secret belongs to the cultural basics of Central Europe. Regarding the topic "Bohemia Lies at the Sea", it doesnot only deal with the Renaissance motto "plus ultra" (constantly repeated). The point is also to discover Mare bohemicum and to find Bohemia beyond this concept. It is also possible to find it in here quoted texts "On the Way to the Country" and, onlyin one case, "On the Way to the Sea".
