Output model prediction and the noise of measurement

The article deals with the influence of discrete model forms to the predicted system output based on data with a measurement noise. A dispersion of model output prediction error is compared between the input output (IO) and the state space (SS) form of model. A general dependence among the dispersion of predic-tion error, the model parameters and the measurement noise (uncorrelated random sequence with zero mean and constant dispersion) added to initial condition is given. The fundamental influence of state variables choice is shown, too. The solution of third prediction step of second order system is shown as an example.
