ORGANOMETALLIC CATIONIC PHOTOINITIATORS
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Several arene-iron complexes ((5-2,4-cyclopentadien-1-yl)[(1,2,3,4,5,6-)-arene] ferrous hexafluorophosphate) were tested as photoinitiators for cationic polymerization. The UV light decomposes arene-ironcyclopentadienyl (arene-Fe+Cp) cation selectively to the corresponding aromatic compound and iron cyclopentadiene (CpFe+) cation. Structure of aromatic compound affects decomposition upon UV light. FeCp+ formed during irradiation is active species for cationic polymerization. Decomposition of arene-ironinitiators upon UV light was followed by UV-VIS spectroscopy. It was measured the decrease of absorption band at about 245 nm after irradiation 2x10-4 M solution in acetonitrile. Super pressure mercury lamp was used as source of UV radiation. Extinctioncoefficients and energies need for achieving 50% conversion were calculated for all initiators. Efficiency of polymerization initiatiation was followed by FTIR spectroscopy in vinylether and epoxide monomers. Results from FTIR showed that
