Ecology impact of air transport and aircraft incidents
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Air transport is presented as the one of the major sectors contributing to global warming. According international reports air transport share of CO2 emissions is 2%. Overall impact to global warming is around 3%. While there is still insufficient scientific research into the impact of air transport on cloud formation from contrials, the impact of aviation on the climate caused by aviation emissions is already well-mapped. Noise pollution in airports is another significant problem. Companies try to limit noise by production of more modern machines and adhering to prescribed departure and arrival routes. Households close to airports affected by excessive noise receive free soundproof windows and doors. Airlines primarily focus on waste, water, service and de-icing fluids. In addition, companies are struggling to reduce energy consumption by using energy-efficient bulbs and eco-friendly appliances. The paper analyzes aviation disasters also from an ecological point of view. Virtually every aircraft crash is at the same time a local environmental disaster. There are more than 400 accidents every year. Various air transport statistics and positive trends are presented.
