In the time almost every step of the way we see the rapid development of automation and digitization. This trend is generally referred to as "Industry 4.0". It does not avoid that any fields of technical diagnostics and maintenance, of course. It is to be expected that due to the close interconnection with vibrational diagnostics, the impacts will soon be reflected in acoustics as well.
