Integrating Socio-Economic Indicators for Enhanced Resilience in Critical Transport Infrastructure
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The article addresses the processing of open databases as big data and offers recommendations for the development of data-driven strategies to enhance the resilience of supply chains and transport infrastructure. By analysing large datasets and selected socio-economic factors, including the Global Competitiveness Index, unemployment rate, Logistics Performance Index, trade as a percentage of GDP, Trade in Value Added, inflation and Consumer Price Index, and predicting their evolution, recommendations are formulated at the macro-economic level to improve the resilience of critical transport infrastructure, thereby enabling supply chains to withstand disruptions more effectively. The application of socio-economic criteria enables the effective linkage of standard economic factors with societal factors, thereby facilitating the formulation of requirements for transport critical infrastructure, its future capacities and long-term sustainability needs. A case study is employed to develop strategic and conceptual recommendations derived from datadriven insights. The findings indicate that augmentation of transportation capabilities represents a viable strategy for fostering economic dynamism and improving the overall performance of the supply chain, thereby enhancing the resilience of transportation infrastructure. The paper concludes with practical recommendations for achieving a resilient and sustainable structure of critical transport infrastructure, including suggestions for further research directions.
