Pakistan: Intra-Regional and Global Connectivity
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Department of International Business cordially invites you to a guest lecture of a very distinguished guest, H.E. Israr Hussein, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Pakistan is usually not highlighted or widely discussed when referring to new economic initiatives in Asian region and in south Asia in particular. This all despite the fact that Pakistan is already the fifth largest country in the world in terms of the population (210 million) and also a country which has been recently experiencing rather fast economic growth. One of the pillars of its economic recovery represents its integration into various global economic structures and vast regional initiatives such as the New Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) or the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which all attempt to enhance investment in regional interconnected rail, road or air transportation systems in order to support the mutual trade. The aim of the lecture is to show and discuss how Pakistan connects to such global and regional initiatives and what the country expects of it.
