ISBN 978-963-06-7433-1 Economics of dairy farming is affected by factors of sales; however, differences in the variable costs can significantly alter the overall economy. When assessing the economic dairy farming in mountain areas, the complete costs (the cost price, which enter into the calculation prices for down-calver heifers DCH) were in the range from 51.79 to 72.42 CZK per kg of calf for sale and 1 DCH (cost price that enter into the calculation of milk). These costs were in the range 24 657 to 33 368 CZK each DCH. The full cost of l milk for individual companies were 7.24 CZK, 7.08 CZK, 14.19 CZK and 8.34 CZK. The proportion of pasture inforage feeding was13% in the company 1, 22% in the company 2, 46% in the company 3: and 26% in the company 4.
