Städte, Gemeinden, Vereine, aber auch Firmen samt ihrer berühmten Marken werden als relativ beständige Subjekte inszeniert, deren Image oft aufihrer Tradition beruht. Der an manchen Orten in der Grenzregionen Tschechiens fast vollständiger Bevölkerungsaustausch bedeutete für die davon betroffenen Städte, Institutionen oder Firmen einen beträchtlichen Einschnitt in die Kontinuität ihrer Entwicklung. Das Ziel der Tagung ist zu fragen: Wie gehen die Städte, Gemeinden, Vereine und Firmen mit dem Thema Vertreibung und der Diskontinuität ihrer Geschichte um? Wie wird ihre Selbstdarstellung in den repräsentativen historischen Publikationen, Informations- und Propagationsmaterialien und öffentlichen Feierlichkeiten durch die Diskontinuität des Bevölkerungstransfers geprägt? Und wie werden dabei auch ihre Darstellungen in Stadtromanen, Regionalliteratur usw. genutzt und (um)gedeutet?

Cities, municipalities, associations, but also companies and their famous brands are pictured as relatively stable subjects whose image is often based on their tradition. The almost complete population exchange in some places in the border regions of the Czech Republic meant a considerable break in the continuity of development for cities, institutions or companies. The aim of the conference is to ask: How do cities, communities, associations, and companies deal with the displacement of the population and the discontinuity of their own history? How is their self-expression in representative historical publications, information and propaganda materials and in public celebrations shaped by the discontinuity of population movement? And how are their representations in urban novels, regional literature, etc. used and (re)interpreted?
