Der Dichterin, Gesellschafterin und Journalistin Betty Paoli (1814-1894) begegnete Adalbert Stifter regelmäßig im Salon der Fürstin Maria Anna Schwarzenberg, eine Begegnung, deren literarische Spuren sich im Roman &quot;Der Nachsommer&quot; finden. Der Salon Schwarzenberg und andere Wiener Salons sind für Stifter und Paoli Orte des intellektuellen Austausches, an denen sie Ideen und Positionen entwickeln, die sich in ihren literarischen Werken, in poetologischen und in politischen Reflexionen niederschlagen. Ein gemeinsamer Publikationsort von Paoli und Stifter ist der Almanach &quot;Iris&quot; des Verlegers Gustav Heckenast, der auch die meisten Gedichtsammlungen Paolis veröffentlicht. An solchen Publikationen des Biedermeier und Vormärz lässt sich ablesen, wie die persönliche Begegnung von Autoren und Autorinnen literarisch bzw. publizistisch weiterwirkt. In dem Beitrag werden journalistische, literarische und biographischer Art Kontakte und poetologische und politische Perspektiven von Adalbert Stifter und Betty Paoli in den 1840er Jahren aufgezeigt und analysiert.

The poet, ladies&apos; companion and journalist Betty Paoli (1814-1894) regularly met Adalbert Stifter in the &quot;Salon&quot;, social gatherings, of Princess Maria Anna Schwarzenberg, an encounter whose literary traces can be found in the novel &quot;Der Nachsommer&quot;. The Salon Schwarzenberg and other Viennese salons are for Stifter and Paoli places of intellectual exchange, where they develop ideas and positions that are reflected in their literary works, poetological and political reflections. A common place of publication of Paoli and Stifter is the almanac &quot;Iris&quot; of the publisher Gustav Heckenast, who also publishes most of the poetry collections by Paoli. Such publications typical for Biedermeier and Vormärz show the literary or journalistic effect of personal exchange. In the contribution journalistic, literary and biographical contacts and poetological and political perspectives of Adalbert Stifter and Betty Paoli in the 1840s are presented and analyzed.
