The possibilities of the use of balneological procedures- New trends in teaching students of Physical Education and Sport at pedagogical faculties
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Balneological procedures are famous for their favourable effects on the human body. In the environment of physical education and sport, they can be used to maintain performance or strengthen one's physical condition. At present, students learn only about the basic methods and procedures of this therapy, often in general courses such as Regeneration, Nutrition and Doping, Basics of Hygiene, Regeneration and Massage, etc. Today's society often neglects traditional procedures of the stimulation of performance or regeneration in the sport environment. Balneological procedures have favourable effects on the immune system, cardiovascular system and the musculoskeletal system. Graduates can use them in their future teaching and coaching practice. This paper primarily characterizes the physical mechanisms of balneology - the effect of hot and cold water on the human body for the needs of stimulating performance or maintaining an individual's health. It is necessary that future teachers/coaches become acquainted with these effects, procedures and methods, which they can utilize not only in the training process but also to improve the health-based quality of their lives.
