Primary school students' performance orientation - the Czech Republic research

The paper deals with the issue concerning performance orientation of students in connection with their benefits. It presents the results of a partial research probe carried out at 14 primary schools utilizing a standardized questionnaire of School Performance Motivation during the school year 2019/2020. It examines the divergence in in the need for successful performance and the need to avoid failure within two essentially benefitting groups of students. It outlines the importance of the teachers&apos; knowledge concerning motivational types of students for their work, which, without taking into account the intellectual level of students, can affect their school performance. The focus of this paper is a commentary on the results of inductive statistics.
