Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This two-week, six-part lecture series by Marija Griniuk, entitled " Art/preneurship: an artist, curator and art manager? reflects on interdisciplinary practice in different contexts and communities. The lecture series in the form of a workshop aims at a dialogical approach, presents case examples of curatorial work and engages students in discussions about their perspectives on curatorial work. Art and curatorial practice today encompasses a variety of disciplines and requires students to gain skills in roles such as artists, designers, curators and arts managers during their higher education. The lecture series designed for students of the Curatorial Studies, Fine Arts and Design programmes reflects the lecturer's artistic and curatorial practice, which is based on the latest research methods focused on the convergence of artistic roles, where the artist takes on the roles of curator, art manager and activist within the framework of interdisciplinary practice. Traditions of interdisciplinary engagement vary across cultures. Marija Griniuk, a Lithuanian working in a Sami environment, will shed light on certain aspects of such practice based on cases from her curatorial and artistic experience. At the same time, she will point out that her practice with politically tinged art related to the specific culture and environment of Sami culture, from which she does not come, can enrich a given culture by looking from the outside, guided from the inside by a professional analysis of the given environment with a set of methods to open local traditional art to a wider cultural discourse.ScheduleMon, March, 18, 2-3 PM, Challenges in Contemporary Curating, DUÚLWed, March 20, 1-2 PM, Connecting past and contemporary art: curating archives, 537Wed, March 20, 3-4 PM, Technology and curatorial practice, case Techno-lab, 537Wed March 20, 5-6 PM, Art/preneurship: an artist, curator and art manager?
