The workshop dealt with the topic of sustainability in transport and it made a part of the European conference "Managing sustainable future of cities" which was held in Berlin on 12-13th February 2008. The main contribution was presented by R.Plíšková who introduced her expertise on European framework for organisation of transport in sustainable manner, including the legislative - organisational framework in Czech Republic as an example of some implemented steps. The contribution opened the broad topicand specified it progressively into reasonable use of energy in transport, reduction of car use and sustainable transport habits and used findings from the first phase of the research project Sustainable transport - chance for our future - part Mobilitymanagement - Analysis of the European framework for mobility management.
