Die Rechnersimulation hat sich in vielen Unternehmen bei der Entscheidungsfindung durchgesetzt. Mit deren Hilfe werden die Betriebsprozesse komplex und dynamisch optimiert. Jedoch wird die Simulation vorwiegend in den großen Betrieben benutzt. Klein- undmittelständische Unternehmen (KMU) stoßen bei ihrer Nutzung immer noch auf viele Probleme. Der Beitrag befasst sich deshalb mit der Nutzung von modernen Simulationsmethoden bei der Verbesserung von Betriebsprozessen besonders in KMU und zeigt einen möglihen Weg zur Unterbreitung dieser Methoden.
