Nowadays there is a lot of useful information thanks to modern technologies in communication and it is not a problem to gain such information, but the main problem becomes good treatment of information (sorting, sharing, structure and mainly correct transmission). Lots of companies use information system supported by IT solution as standard part for managing their activities. The main reasons for implementation of information system at Department of manufacturing system (KVS) are facilitation and simplification of communication between members of department, students and other persons interested in information. Current systems appear as unsuitable and deficient in the long period. The following article shortly describes innovation process of information system in the academic environment at Department of Manufacturing Systems.
