This article deals with monitoring of dilatation changes during braked shrinking process. For these monitoring there were constructed a measuring equipment and there were developed of methodology. The zinc alloys are cast to the special form which it ispart of constructed measuring equipment. The main part of measuring equipment is dilatometer of Poland provenience. On this measuring equipment there were monitored a time elongation of dilatation changes or changes of shrinking process during solidification and cooling of casting. At the same time as monitoring by measuring equipment there were monitored dilatation changes of solidification and cooling of casting by high-speed camera. This high-speed camera is part of professional constructed equipmentwhich it has commercial name ARAMIS. It has display software IVIEW -v6.2.0-3. The results of the measurement were monitored and there were analysed of sensibility of measuring equipment with dilatometer
