The paper deals with the project carried out in a sheltered workshop in the factory of MODUS spol. s r.o. in 2010. The project is included in group projects that support lean production. The main aspect of the project played 6S methodology and logisticsin the workplace. A sheltered workshop is specific to their restrictions for operators compared to current production. Nowadays more and more manufacturing companies employ staff with varying degrees of disability. This is due to statutory requirements,as well as socio-economic aspects. Also in this area is necessary to implement projects that support lean production. In the introductory part of the paper analyzes the present state of work before the introduction of the project and designed and realized measures. In the final part of the main outputs of the project application, stating the current status of sheltered workshop. The experience gained with such a project could facilitate other projects planned for other projects within th
