RX-HTTPD is a portable web server implemented in Open Object REXX. This interpreted language ensures a high degree of portability, allowing the server to run on any operating system for which a corresponding Open Object REXX implementation exists. As a result, it can be deployed easily without the need for compilation or platform-specific code modifications. The server can operate on standard operating systems, whether on conventional personal computers or on microprocessor boards designed for embedded applications and IoT devices. Unlike typical web servers, RX-HTTPD enables the development of dynamic web applications directly using REXX. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that servlets and servlet pages are written entirely in Open Object REXX. This allows developers to create server-side scripts and dynamic content directly in this high-level, object-oriented language, facilitating seamless integration with other REXX applications and libraries.

Technické parametry

Architektura serveru je navržena s důrazem na modularitu a rozšiřitelnost, umožňuje efektivní zpracování požadavků a podporuje vícevláknové prostředí. RX-HTTPD tak představuje kompletní řešení pro vývoj webových aplikací v Open Object REXX, přičemž kombinuje přenositelnost, jednoduchost a flexibilitu tohoto jazyka.
