The paper deals with the results of the research, which was conducted at the Economics Faculty of the Technical University in Liberec at the end of 2013, which dealt with the findings of the impact of the development of tourism in the region by its inhabitants. In traditional locations Liberec Region Respondents reported how reflects the growth of tourism to the region's economy, but also the size of the family income, which in this destination resides. Were examined positive, but also negative impactsof tourism on the respondents. Respondents to the end of the survey was recommended practices, which could increase the income from tourism, provided that it would not degraded environment in the district. The research results are currently used not onlyas a basis other scientific activities of the author's contribution, but the results were familiar entrepreneurs and representatives of local government in the Liberec Region.
