Problems of mixing quality are well known in the textile practice. Common approach is to mix various cotton according to their properties and price a mixing the natural and synthetic fibers for enhancing of blended yarns properties. In most cases the homogeneity of mixing, leading to the homogeneity of physics-mechanical characteristics of blended yarns, are required. The blended yarns of PET/cotton type are tested. One yarn portion is extremely non uniform (splicer joint) and second one is typical result of industrial production. The sensitivity of individual characteristics is compared. The main statistical properties and suitability for evaluation of mixing quality is shown.
