The research team has realized in summer 2002 the survey concerning the foreign trade activities of SMB firms in the North Moravian an region with following main results: foreign trade activities are realized mostly by very small forms with 10 employess,the firms stated, that they mostly (60%) deal directly with foreign partners, most of SMB export their own products, some of them act as intermediaries, the territory with the biggest share on foreign trade is EU, followed by Slovakia and Poland, the firms do have the information about various types of state support of export activities, but mostly they do not use them. Respondents also stated, that they were mostly able to adjust with the problem of increasing exchange rate of Czech crown.
