Lobbying or Corruption
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The term corruption has become almost ubiquitous. Recently, however, more and more often the media, politicians and professional public mention the word lobbying. What does it mean, how to work with this term and, is it a synonym for corruption? Unfortunately, this is the public perception (mostly in pos-communist countries). But lobbying is not corruption, or it should not be. This paper aims to use inductive analysis to point out the difference between lobbying and corruption and to present recommendations that should clearly separate these two concepts and prevent their confusion. As previously shown, lobbying, in terms of its original meaning, i.e. transparent public promotion of interests, does not equal corruption, which remains hidden. Lobbyingregulation turns out to be one of the most effective tools of separating corruption and lobbying.
