The conference was held on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Institute of Mathematics in Opava as part of the Silesian University in Opava. The conference was divided into two sessions: Dynamical Systems and Differential Geometry. The Differential Geometry section focused on differential geometry in the broad sense, including the geometric theory of partial differential equations and integrable systems, and the Dynamical Systems section on the mathematical theory of dynamical systems with emphasis on topological dynamics, symbolic dynamics, low-dimensional dynamics and ergodic theory. The session was held at the Spa Belaria Hotel (10 km south of Opava).
