FROM MULTIBODY SIMULATIONS TO FATIGUE OF BUS COMPONENTS: LONG WAY?
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Efforts to ensure a satisfactory fatigue life for the construction of a new road vehicle and its key components go through various stages of the development process. At the beginning of this process are multi-body simulations and at the end of it, the fatigue life is proved by an accelerated fatigue life test on a test polygon or by computational procedures based on the results of stress measurements during operation of a prototype vehicle in real conditions. It might seem that there is a “long way” to go from the multibody simulations to the assessment of fatigue life. However, a quality MBS vehicle model is the basis for the success of the development process. In addition, it can be a useful tool for detecting the causes of possible operational failures, if they occur.
