Konference se věnovala zkoumání charakteru a vztahu tří významných dimenzí zkušenosti s uměleckými díly, i jejich významu v mimoumělecké estetické zkušenosti: narativity jakožto artikulace příběhu, performativity jakožto tvorby situace či realizace postupu a myšlenky a deskriptivity jakožto zachycení vlastností předmětu či prostředí. Na jedné straně se konference zabývala kontaktem těchto dimenzí, jejich až samozřejmě přijímaným propojením v uměleckých výtvorech nebo v jiných esteticky působících výtvorech či fenoménech, ale také přenosy těchto dimenzí mezi uměleckými výtvory různých disciplín, případně mezi estetickými fenomény různých typů. Na straně druhé se konference věnovatla důrazům na jejich oddělenost v umělecké tvorbě i teoretické reflexi. Tyto kontakty a důrazy byly zkoumány například v kontextu úvah o takzvaném performativním obratu v umění, teorii umění a filozofii, v souvislosti s průzkumem naratologických postupů, nebo s ohledem na význam a typologizaci postupů deskripce.

he conference explored the nature and relationship of three important dimensions of the experience of artworks, and their importance in non-art aesthetic experience: narrativity as the articulation of a story, performativity as the creation of a situation or the realization of a process and idea, and descriptiveness as the capture of the properties of an object or environment. On the one hand, the conference dealt with the contact of these dimensions, their only naturally accepted connection in artistic creations or other aesthetically acting creations or phenomena, but also with the transfer of these dimensions between artistic creations of different disciplines, or between aesthetic phenomena of different types. On the other hand, the conference focused on the emphasis on their separateness in artistic production and theoretical reflection. These contacts and emphases were examined, for example, in the context of reflections on the so-called performative turn in art, art theory and philosophy, in the context of an exploration of narratological practices, or with regard to the meaning and typologization of the practices of description.
