The authors of the article describe some methods and solutions to develop creativity and design creativity in pupils in primary schools through construction kits with using applied robotics and automation. These trends have recently become very popular.They connect multiple functional elements into a single unit with the maximum usage of student creativity in the design and programming. Creators of the article are dealing with the current state of this problem in selected Czech schools and organizations that deal with the after-school pedagogy. They demonstrate their potential applications, especially in the teaching of technical education in secondary schools through the selected examples of specific equipment and systems. These are especially systems as construction kits LEGO and Merkur combined with NXT control units or units with a PICAXE processor and ATMega.
