The article analyzes the author's practical experience in mastering the shakuhachi flute in the traditional education system in Japan, reveals the provisions of the author's concept of developing the creative component of the individual when learning to play musical instruments, and the possibility of teaching a foreign language with the inclusion of elements of musical activity. The practical implementation of the conceptual ideas of the article is possible in the process of teaching various subjects.The article reveals the provisions of the author's concept of the development of the creative component of a personality when teaching music, in particular, piano, as well as a foreign language (on the example of learing the Japanese language through national songs). The proposed methods can also be used in music lessons in general education schools.
