Der Beitrag untersucht im Werk von Libuše Moníkova die intertextuellen Bezüge zum Werk Kafkas. Im Fokus der Analyse stehen die Romane "Eine Schädigung", "Pavane für eine verstorbene Infantin", teilweise "Die Fassade", und der Essay-Band "Schloss, Aleph und Wunschtorte". Die deutschschreibende Autorin verwendet die Intertextualität zu Kafka u.a. als Folie für ihre kritische Auseinandersetzung mit der kommunistischen Diktatur in der Tschechoslowakei nach der russischen Okkupation von 1968. Beiden ästhetischen Konzepten sind Figuren der Ausschließung aus der Gesellschaft sowie Szenarien einer aufgezwungenen wie einer selbstgewählten Isolation gemeinsam.

This article analyses the intertextual references to Kafka's work in Libuše Moníkova's oeuvre. The focus of the analysis is on the novels ‘Eine Schädigung’, ‘Pavane für eine verstorbene Infantin’, partly ‘The Façade’, and the essay collection ‘Schloss, Aleph und Wunschtorte’. The author, who writes in German, uses the intertextuality to Kafka as a foil for her criticism of the communist dictatorship in Czechoslovakia after the Russian occupation of 1968, among other things. Both aesthetic concepts share figures of exclusion from society as well as scenarios of both imposed and self-imposed isolation.
