The paper deals with social entrepreneurship and its potential for further development in the world economy. Social entrepreneurship is a new phenomenon emerging in the field of business. Development of the concept of social entrepreneurship can be observed in different regions of the world in recent years. The aim of this paper is to define the significance and specifics of social entrepreneurship as a new business concept and to discuss sustainability of this type of business.
