A production line inventory control model with an unbalanced output of the individual production facilities and with respect to other limitations
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Basic models of inventory control deal with a number of simplified assumptions and take no account of the capacity possibilities of a company or the conditions of the supplier-customer relationships. It is necessary to modify these models to be effectively used in practice. Limited storage area or the outsourcing of a part of the manufacturing process as well as specific customer requirements, usually connected with general contracts of delivery, may serve as an example of the limitation to be respected. The aim of the contribution is to show, on a realistic example from practice, a design of a multi-level production line inventory control model that would respect the above conditions with an unbalanced output of the individual production facilities. The model considers namely the in-process production time and the time necessary for creating the reserve of components. Attention is also paid to the calculation of the amount of the material supplies, the adequate amount of the semi-fini
