Terms, such as financial literacy, financial knowledge and financial education are very often used in the context of human capital and economic stability of each developed country. It is therefore understandable that there is a wide-ranging debate on the level of financial literacy in today´s evolving world. This research study examines the level of financial literacy of students studying economic and pedagogical secondary school in the selected city of Central Bohemia. First, theoretical background, including selected studies in this research area, are presented, followed by a questionnaire survey and assessment of its results. Discussion and its conclusions are presented at the end of the paper. This research contributes to knowledge in the field of expanding methods of evaluating the effectiveness of financial education.
