Cet article sert comme introduction à la problématique terminologique de la linguistique textuelle en France et particulièrement de la théorie de la Perspective fonctionnelle de la phrase. La première partie vise à proposer une brève introduction à l´histoire de la lingustique textuelle en France et à décrire l´influence de la linguistique tchèque sur sa formation , notamment celle de la théorie de la Perspectie fonctionnelle de la phrase issue du Cercle lingustique de Prague (Ecole de Prague). La deuxième partie porte sur les différentes interprétations de la notion de « thème » dans la littérature francophone contemporaine.

The paper deals with the terminology used in textual linguistics concerning the theory of Functional Sentence Perspective. The first part of the article is a short introduction to the history of Textual Linguistics in France and about the role of Czech linguistics in it, especially the role of the theory of Functional Sentence Perspective related to Prague School. The second part concerns the different interpretations of the term „theme“ mainly in contemporary French litterature.
