La place de la syntaxe dans la conception šabršulienne de la langue

Jan Šabršula a formulé une théorie originale de la langue, cette théorie représente une école à part au sein du foyer structuraliste pragois. Le modèle qu’il propose est un modèle stratificationnel basé sur le programme sémiologique saussurien. L’objectif de cette étude est de montrer les spécificités de cette conception šabršulienne : après en avoir esquissé les caractéristiques générales, nous nous concentrons plus particulièrement à la syntaxe et à la place qu’elle occupe au sein de cette théorie. Nous analysons les notions qui apparaissent dans les passages šabršuliens relatifs à la syntaxe et qui sont, en même temps, fondamentales pour d’autres théories syntaxiques modernes (modèles et règles ; valence ; l’aspect génératif).

Jan Šabršula has formulated an original theory of language, this theory represents a peculiar school within the Prague structuralist centre. The model he proposes is a stratificational model based on the Saussure’s semiological program. The aim of this study is to show the specificities of this Šabršula’s conception: after having outlined the general characteristics, we focus more particularly on the syntax and the place it occupies within this theory. We analyse the notions that appear in the passages in which J. Šabršula deals with syntax and which are, at the same time, fundamental for other modern syntactic theories (models and rules; valency; the generative aspect).
