Die Debatten um politische Korrektheit werden immer schärfer geführt und machen inzwischen auch nicht halt vor Texten der Vergangenheit. Der Beitrag untersucht am Beispiel der „Hermannsschlacht“ von Heinrich von Kleist, wie dieser „fremde und befremdende“ Text durch eine politisch korrekte Lektüre nicht mehr adäquat verstanden werden kann.

The debates about political correctness are becoming increasingly heated and do not even stop at texts from the past. Using the example of "Hermannsschlacht" by Heinrich von Kleist, this article examines how this "strange and alienating" text can no longer be adequately understood through a politically correct reading.
