Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The article deals with characteristics of local communities and rural regions. Local communities are defined both according to the standards of population density and the number of inhabitants. In the article, there are treated especially the indicatorsof population development (balance of migration), economic activities of the inhabitants, unemployment rates, structures of the population according to the sector of national economy and the indicators of education. These indicators have been calculatedon the basis of data of the Census 2001, municipal and regional statistics and the Department of Employment data concerning the unemployment rate.
