Small and medium-sized enterprises play an important role in every economy. The aim of this chapter is to describe the interconnectio n of small and medium-sized enterprises and cluster initiatives in the Czech Republic. Small and medium-sized enterprises in the Czech Republic represent the majority of active business entities. Namely, there were 1,468,776 of active business entities in the end of 2013 and 99.85% of those were SMEs [1,2]. The problematic of the clusters, the source of their funding andtheir scope was briefly introduced. The greatest incidence of clusters is in the energetics sector, IT and engineering. The study "Doing business" was used for the evaluation of the business environment of the country, according to which Czech Republic occupied the 68th place in 2013. Czech Republic mostly lags behind in areas, "Starting a Business" and "Getting Electricity", where in both cases to 146 place.
