Identification of the Electricity Blackout Impacts on the Environmental Security
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Energy sector represent one of the key sectors of critical infrastructure in all developed countries worldwide. Large impact on the environment has been associated with the production, distribution and consumption of electric energy. The danger of power blackout represents one of the most serious anthropogenic threats of the present time. Primary task of the critical management authorities is to ensure protection of inhabitants and emergency survival in the case of long-term electric power supply failure. Impact of power blackout on the environment is not given priority treatment as long as the secondary threats to the human life and health are present. The article deals with the research into this impact. Corresponding to the principles of the risk management, this paper concentrates on the phase of the risk analysis, especially on the identification of assets, violation of which would have impact on the environment and subsequently on the analytical methods aiming at identification of the impact on the environment. This impact has been qualitatively described together with the estimation of the time of its effects manifestation
