Evaluating & Visualizing Geographic and Meteorological Factors In-Theatre: Case Study and Strategies
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Good knowledge of natural environment in the AoR is an assumption of a mission success. It is necessary to evaluate the impact of it on given activity. The advanced methods of analysis of military geographic and hydro-meteorological properties are used only particularly in the AoR. Classical and electronic forms are used for transfer of spatial information to commanders. Presentation of geographical, meteorological and hydrological information in Command and Control Systems is often separated, less methodical, performed by simple tools without using of capabilities of modular extensions. Advance military geographic and meteorological analyses are applied more frequently in GEO and METEO support of C2 systems. Projects of complex Digital Landscape Models for C2S are developed including Common Operational Picture, Recognised Environmental Picture, and WEB services application. Web services are possible to use for alternative visualization on virtual presentation.
