Paper in Proceedings of the Joint 9th Asia-Pacific ISTVS Conference, Sapporo, Japan. The realistic analysis of Cross Country Movement is very important for the military training and operations and it is based on the terrain interaction with vehicles. Thefactors concerned are: slope, soils, vegetation, drainage (hydrology), meteorological factors and vehicle movement characteristics. The goal of this paper is the particular analysis of the critical relief factors in terrain, which are important for thevehicles manoeuvre and their cartographic visualization. The relief gradient and microrelief forms impacts to cross-country movement according to the profile description of vehicle route are analysed in paper.
