The drainage (hydrosphere) is one of the main elements determining troops movement on terrain first of all by spatial distribution of landscape sphere to partial units, there through it is influential both in the entire system of military operations andmovement of particular vehicles. The grade of this determination is given by width, gradient, depth and qualitative parameters of drainage on overall forms of its occurrence. The goal of this paper is the identification of main geographical factors and parameters of drainage that affect the modelling of cross-country movement. In paper are included some classification of overall coverage of terrain by a drainage, drainage structure, characteristics of watercourse banks, watercourse width, depth of watercourses and water expenses, character of a bottom, water flow rate and flow speed, climatic effects and mutual position of drainage and other geographical subjects
