The article deals with the main parts of the perimeter protection and their use at the military bases of the Czech Armed Forces during peacekeeping operations. It describes the following parts of the perimeter protection: guard towers (ISO containers, truss structures, defense walls and its combination), closed circuit TV (CCTV), different sensors and cables, and monitoring systems. It compares several material and structure options and lists their advantages and disadvantages. The article is based on the outcomes of the Defense Research Project ?Technical support of design, building, maintenance and cancelling of the Czech military bases in missions abroad, using the Reach-Back concept?.
