Scavenging Simulation of Small Two-stroke Engine with Low-pressure Fuel Injection for Usage in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The current strict emission regulations lead to fuel injection being inevitable in internal combustion engines. Complex high pressure injection is not always applicable in small two stroke engines which are preferred to be light, cheap and simple. Therefore development of simple low pressure injection system is desirable. This paper describes set up of scavenging flow simulation in ANSYS FLUENT which is the first step before the injection is introduced in the simulation. The simulation has been run at 2000 rpm and 7000 rpm. The results showed expected scavenging however the difference between the results in 2000 rpm and 7000 rpm is negligible. It is expected the settings of the transient calculation has been chosen wrongly and some improvements are required. The scavenging flow is important information about the engine when the injection of fuel wants to be implemented. The injection timing and position are all factors which could be considered in future research.
