Modelling and simulation of Ground Based Air Defence Ware Games

This article deals with the involvement and use of modelling and simulation tools in the preparation of air defence specialists at the University of Defence in Brno. It gives a brief insight into those forms of teaching where the means of modelling and simulation can be used effectively. Their quantitative and qualitative analysis was carried out, and then a possible methodology for the implementation of new elements of simulations and scenarios of fighting the air enemy into school staff exercises with the support of IT technologies was proposed. The output is recommendations for the support of ground based air defence forces, especially in the phase of planning operations, generating optimized combat formations and subsequent verification by simulated air raids of the enemy. The result is a streamlining of the final preparation of future commanders of ground based air defence assets, defending the airspace of the country and task forces of alliance troops.
