Kniha je určena studentům problematiky chemických zbraní a dalším zájemcům o předmětné téma. Kniha popisuje historii použití chemických zbraní a fyzikální, chemické a toxikologické vlastnosti bojových chemických látek, důležité pro pochopení mechanismů šíření. Dále jsou popsány vnější a vnitřní faktory ovlivňující ničivé účinky chemických zbraní. Následující část je věnována teorii kontaminace ovzduší a šíření oblaku bojové chemické látky. Pozornost je věnována vlivu topografických zvláštností na šíření oblaku bojové chemické látky. Dále je popsána kontaminace terénu a objektů kapkami bojové chemické látky a vliv různých faktorů na její stálost. Další část se věnuje rozdělení a konstrukci chemické munice a bojových chemických prostředků s uvedením příkladů. Popsána je legislativa použití chemických zbraní a metody jejich likvidace včetně zakázaných metod. Poslední část je věnována chemickému terorismu. Cílem knihy je poskytnout základní informace o vlastnostech bojových chemických látek, o možnostech jejich použití v bojových chemických prostředcích a chemické munici, taktice používání chemických zbraní a chování bojových chemických látek na terénu a v ovzduší. Text má poskytnout informace o nebezpečí toxických látek laborovaných v různých druzích chemické munice a bojových chemických prostředků a podat teoretický základ pro rozhodování specialistů při plánování ochranných opatření před účinky chemických zbraní.

The book is intended for students of chemical weapons protection and others interested in the topic. The book describes the history of the use of chemical weapons, followed by physical, chemical and the toxicological properties of chemical warfare agents important for understanding the mechanisms of of their spreading. External and internal factors influencing the destructive effects of chemical weapons are also described. The next part is devoted to the theory of air contamination and the development of cloud formed by chemical warfare agents. Attention is paid to the influence of topographic factors on the chemical warfare cloud propagation. Furthermore, the contamination of the terrain and objects with drops of a chemical warfare agent and the influence of various factors on its stability are described. The following part deals with the classification and the construction of chemical munition types and other chemical warfare means, giving examples. The legislation on the use of chemical weapons and methods of their disposal, including prohibited methods, are described. The last part is devoted to chemical terrorism. The aim of the book is to provide basic information about the properties of chemical warfare agents, about the possibilities of their use in chemical munition and other chemical warfare means, tactics of the use of chemical weapons and the behavior of chemical warfare agents in the field and in the air. The text is intended to provide information on the danger of toxic substances filled in various types of chemical munition and other chemical warfare means and to provide a theoretical basis for decision-making by specialists in planning of protective precautions against the effects of chemical weapons.
