This paper deals with the analysis of changes in technology and technical efficiency in individual sectors of Czech agriculture after the EU enlargement in 2004. The paper attempts to elaborate on the following questions. The first questions concern technology - are there any inter-and/or intrasectoral differences in Czech agriculture? The second question is connected to technological change among the sectors, while the third question deals with the relationship between technical efficiency, direct payments and localization of the company. We elaborate on these questions by employing the parametric approach - Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA). Specifically, we employ the Random Parameter Model specification, in which sector dummies are used to capturethe intersectoral differences in technology. The results show there is significant heterogeneity among the studied sectors (i.e., combined, plant, animal and other production). Animal production results differ from other sectors in Labou
