Digital Transformation of Primary and Secondary Institutions: A Case Of the Czech Republic
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The digital transformation (DT) of primary and secondary education (P&S) using the current benefits of information technology (IT) is gaining in importance. The relationship between student and teacher, but also between teacher and parents, is changing. Gone are the days when the educational process was based on simply imparting knowledge and parents were personally involved in the educational process. Today's education process is changing and becoming individualized; knowledge is acquired through learning, interactive searching, and linking (interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary use of knowledge). With the change in the educational process, there are also changes in the quality of teaching. In this article, we deal with the DT of a selected segment of Czech education (a case study of the impact of the digital transformation of P&S education), which has undergone an extraordinary change in Europe in the last decade. It establishes research questions regarding the influence of DT on the education process and its quality, including its impact on students, teachers, and parents. We base our answers to research questions on empirically verified results from disseminated surveys among different aged students.
