This work assesses results of three years experiment monitoring the influence of leaf area damages on the yield and quality of sugar beet. The highest looses of root and sugar yield were found in relation to the degree of leaf damage between 60 and 90 days after sugar beet sowing. The losses of sugar were 45%.
